Money For Dummy's

Foundations

John Trumbull's "Declaration of Independence"

1st Stone:  Family

Without a father & mother, we never arrived.  Without someone to care for (and to care for us in turn), we never grow.  Without leaving something behind, we never were.  Our time in this kingdom is short.  Enjoy it and bring joy to others.

Bear in mind that the wonderful things you learn in your schools are the work of many generations. All this is put in your hands as your inheritance in order that you may receive it, honor it, add to it, and one day faithfully hand it on to your children.    - Albert Einstein

2nd Stone:  Self

You have to feel good about yourself first, about what you do day-to-day.  Love your family like there is no tomorrow.  Open doors for others.  Listen with an open mind.  Teach solid values.

When I do good, I feel good.  When I do bad, I feel bad.  That's my religion.       - Abraham Lincoln

3rd Stone:  Community

Not only do we need to do our best today, we need to do better tomorrow.  This makes you more valuable to society, to those you work for, to those you work with, to your friends, to your relatives and to yourself.

I haven't failed, I've found 10,000 ways that don't work.     - Thomas A Edison

4th Stone:   Freedom

Our great country was founded on freedom.  We have to defend our freedoms ... for the sake of our family, our selves, and our community.  There are those (even amoung us), who see our freedoms circumvented or changed.  Our forefathers gave us the guidebook.  The Declaration of Independence and our Constitution set down the basic guidelines to protect our freedom.  We need to defend & protect them.

Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves.     - Abraham Lincoln

FOUNDATIONS:

With solid foundations such as these, you can never be set too far back or too far astray. As you build your life, remember to stay with the spirit of the foundations.

There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.    - Albert Einstein

Hopefully you have noticed that none of the foundations speak directly of money.  Money is not as important as any of the foundations.  It is because of the foundations that we have the tools to succeed.  To better our lives, those of our families, and those of our neighbors.  Money will not buy you any  foundations.  As a matter of fact, it is a breakdown in one or more  foundations that lead to money problems.

Money For Dummy's   consults and educates using these core foundations.  Money problems are always about a breakdown somewhere in the foundation.  As an example -- You may be in debt because of a gambling addiction.  It is not the fault of the casino.  You went ahead , like a dummy, never considering your family.  If you had been thinking of family first, you would not have blown that money.
